Can a d19 be lightened up to get to 5800 lbs??? We have a farm class pull comming up and would like to know if I can get the old girl that light?

Yes, it can be done. It is very tough to do, you need to get rid of alot of the cast iron on the rear end and replace it with steel or aluminium. You also will have to replace the rear wheels with pressed steel. You will probably have to stick to 18.4-34 size. My brother has one that he can get into the 6000lb class at the county fair running 18.4-38. He can run in 5500lb classes by removing all of the weights, taking out the batteries and running 18.4-34's. Only problem is you run out of traction because you are so light.
