I would like to know what colors of orange and white were used and what years they changed such as po1 and po2 and corporate. Was the white on the d-21 same as the 220  the 7080 or the 8070? i have the ppg #8638 for the cream white. Need some help, trying to paint a 66 chevy truck to look like a service truck for an allis dealer and want the right colors to go together thanks all in advance. Ill post some picks when it is done.

PO-1 was basically 1961 and older. PO-2 (all D-15's)from 1962 until the 7020-7045 came out, so 1962 until late 1977 then Corporate orange. PO-1 has orange wheels.......PO-2 has cream wheels. Corporate has new white which may be the same as cloud white.

Here is what I have.......hope it helps

The paint codes shown below are not the original (OEM) paint codes, but are their modern-day equivalents. Many paint companies changed the code numbers when paint ingredients and technology progressed.
If you are real concerned about the color, or matching a particular color already on your tractor, you might want to request a paint sample or chip from the company for comparison. The paints shown below should be available from any farm or ag store that carries Dupont or TISCO brand items.

Tractor Color Paint Code Available From
AC Persian Orange, 29047 Dulux DuPont
AC Yellow 421 Dulux DuPont

AC Persian Orange, TP280 TISCO
AC Cream TP270  TISCO
AC Green TP380  TISCO

Hello I am restoring an Allis Chalmers 608. I need to know the exact color of orange paint that was used when
It was new. I also need the color black that was used. And I need to know what color white was used as well.
The color is kind of a cream but not sure because there are at least 3 shades that I know of. They are
1. Cream or cream beige
2. Cloud white
I am not sure what the other color is but they all do look the same. So if you could help me I would be greatful.
By the way my tractors year is anywhere from 1974-1979

Hey all,

I just found this post in a search, and was wondering if someone could give me a clarification:

I have a friend that is repainting a late D17 ( SN 65,896) as well as a 7040.

I went ahead and told him to get the Persian Orange #2 for both, PPG 60396

But, what is the differences in the cream paint codes above?

Is the cream for the wheels on both the 7040 and the D17 the PPG 8638?

What is the PPG 23056 for then?

Any info appreciated, thanks!

Both tractors can be painted with the same orange and cream paints.  PO #2 came out in 1960 and continued to 1978.  I can't help with the PPG paint though.  Never used it before.

Old post but on topic

We’re early d15 series 1 1961 models still PO1. Just power wash and started sandblasting and stripping and it appears po1 is the paint. Heard most are po2 but can someone confirm if 1961 d15 first couple thousand serial numbers were pointed in original po1?

Thanks so much

The D-15 was when the "change" was made. There are none painted the old orange from the factory. New grille screen was painted crème as was the front and rear wheel centers. Crème paint and Persian Orange #2 went together in mid to late 1960 when the new D-15 was introduced.

Dr. Allis is right.  No D15s were ever PO1.  It was the first tractor to wear PO2 paint when it was introduced.
