   Grandson has a Arctic Cat 50cc 2 stroke ATV.. Brought it over a month ago. Said it ran like crap for a year, now will not start at all.  I pulled the plug and checked for spark.. OK.. Decided it was the carburetor so i pulled it and cleaned it all up... was not dirty... Remember this think is about the size of a Match Box toy car so EVERYTHING is hard to get to.. Screwed with it for several days, an hour a day, trying different things..Tried 3 different plugs , checked compression OK... Nothing would work .. got fuel, got spark..... Then tried a shot of either.. NO POP !
At this point im thinking the timing is off. Pull the side cover and there is a  pickup coil on the outside of the flywheel.. Looks OK.. Pull the flywheel and no point.. It has  a stator with 6 coils. 5 of them charge the battery and one puts out a voltage signal to the CDI box that sends a signal to the COIL that fires the PLUG..(per YOU TUBE) ..  ...  Well, im still thinking TIMING is off.. Maybe the CDI BOX or weak COIL ??

I look on AMAZON and the Coil is $10. , the CDI box is $10. and the stator is in CHINA but i can get one in 2 weeks for $25.   ........... i decide to spend the BIG BUCKS  ($45.) and buy EVERYTHING.... Thats the entire electrical system !  

Parts came in yesterday and assembled today. Fires on 2 revolutions of the motor !! Success !!  ... and im glad to get rid of the little thing.. My hands are TOO BIG to work on something this size !
