Gee wizz most prices seemed very soft/ low- what was wrong with the M3 to only bring 2440, or close to that, 8000 series tractors were way low - in my opinion

Doug, in our area these were the only old style gleaners in operation .
They were good combines but wide row heads are no more than junk price around here . The one with JD HEADS BROUGHT OVER 5OOO . About what we thought . The other was a disappointment . They went to a jockey in Illinois . Any 80 series Allis in auctions the last 2years had a hard time bringing $10,000 . So we were happy . The total sale brought 1 1/2 times the previous sale estimate by me and my brother and the auctioneer . Wide row planter manual fold bright 2x what one like it brought last year . Over all very happy . Each area is different I'm sure . 3 wd45's brought 1800, 1750 and 2600 . These were NOT show tractors as well as none of the others . Except the wd at 1800 I felt went low . Still happy with the gross sales . My brother would have been too . |

Looking at the results stuff sold for every bit what it was worth. 8000’s were spot on maybe slightly high. Sub $3 corn isn’t making folks feel lush.

To me, the tractors seemed a bit low, but as was pointed out, corn is down and some guys are in a drought. Still, the equipment brought good money, except the combines. I wonder how many on the forum attended the sale and how many had something follow them home?

The weights sold very well! I bid on the pile of 3 stack weights that go on the front of a WD, WD45, or D17. Bid up to $300. each. I think they went for $330. each. Enjoyed the sale. The 185 did tempt me. Probably a good thing I didn't bring my trailer. Glad it went well for the family. Dan.

I attended the auction with my grandfather and purchased the D10 that was for sale. I also was lucky enough to purchase a D12 on an online auction today from Jeffersonville, OH. Pretty much just completed the D series besides the D21 which I'm in no hurry for. |

Wow, those pieces are very nice. Did that rotary mower have original paint? Nice D10 also. Looks like equipment was well kept.

Doug, this is a very honest auctioneer company and my brother whom signed them up before his departure has dealt with Jeff in many ways over the last 40 years . I'm sorry you feel that way but their reputation is excellent.
We almost didn't have on line because the signal is weak in that area . I can't use my phone unless I am in the field where we had the sale and then it's sometimes iffy . The CA bid was lost when the signal went down . They got it back up but it took a while and the sale had to continue . If i had another sale I'd call Jeff again . Very hard working people and VERY HONEST !!!! Bill's brother . Jim Edited by D14JIM14 - 17 Aug 2020 at 8:01am |

Online bidders and phone bidders around here are required to have a valid credit card on file. I know that is still not totally secure, but apparently it works. Some of you need to lighten up on Auction companies. They may have been shady, but I think most if not all are legitimate now-a-days. Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your post. I am very glad that you are happy with your outcome. I had an auction a few years back and was very happy with the outcome. I'm sorry for your loss. It is a painful time, but I have found over the years I only think about the good things that had happened.

Thank you John !
Jeff Boston even talked to the buyer of the CA and asked if he was interested in reselling it to the online bidder who complained about losing his bid . The buyer was a good friend of Bill's and bought it to keep as a memory of Bill . Bill sang at his 25th wedding anniversary celebration . I told Jeff it stays as is !! People can be unreasonable. Unfortunately. One online bidder thought he had purchased a truck because he had the highest online bid before the sale and did not bid during the sale and called and used the most foul language possible to Jeff's wife and him and in an email . It was spelled out that there was combination bidding during the sale . Jeff and his wife although very flustered were gracious in reply I'm not sure I could have been ! Thanks again Jim |

That is an anti jerk (my term) steering wheel. If the front wheels hit a hole or obstruction it won't jerk the steering wheel out of your hands and rack your fingers . Dad had one on a 45 before putting power steering on it . It works good and makes for smooth steering across any type of field .
That one did not have power steering . |
