Hello All:
 
I need to buy a 4" diesel engine transfer pump.
I am looking on the Generac website.  They list types as Venturi dry prime, Diaphragm dry prime, and wet prime.
They don't really describe the difference.  Does anybody on here know?
We will be using the pump to pump water, both fresh and salty on oilwell locations.  Pulling out of a tank, through a filter pot, then into another tank.

Seems this site explains some on each style trash pump . other site is info on one also - type also depends on amount of lift you need and or head above pump.
