This is what I use. Horse drawn John Deere. Built between 1910-1914. Still works good. Opener digs a trench about 3" wide, seed drops down chute, closer discs cover seed with 2-4" of dirt. |

The wife rides the planter. Tried letting her drive the tractor, but, I hate trying to cultivate crooked rows.
