Hello all, 

My D17 series III leaks a little when I use the hitch at the point where the hitch lever goes into the torque housing. 
In my parts book I can't find where a seal should be. Is it replaceable from the outside?

Where the control lever goes in the top of the torque housing??  The seal is 70228247 install with the spring down. I've seen it done from digging it out of there but I'll bet the brass bushing is worn making the shaft loose in the hole causing the seal to leak. There are two bushings 70227591 is the shorter top one (that will be loose) and 70227592 is the longer bottom one (which I use in the top position to really get things tightened up). If you go to the trouble of replacing bushings, you'll have to drop the sump and you just as well replace the seal on the bottom of it 70228602. Gasket is 70233249.
