I have 175D tractors with both styles of front ends. Both have suitcase weights. The one with the D17 style front end (and side pump) seems so much heavier on the front with my 8' Bushhog....I can even drive it on my trailer forward. The other one, the front end practically floats when the mower is up (but it does turn easier). Strange thing is I can't even use the 8' mower on the D17 SIV Diesel because I can't keep the front end on the ground.....very strange. Do you think the Perkins 4 cylinder weighs more than the 262 Buda 6 cylinder?
