WENT TO HELP A GUY TODAY FIX HIS MAG ON HIS C ALLIS. HE HAD IT SETTING IN HIS GARAGE FOR 8 YRS NOT RUNNING . THE POINTS WERE BROKE IN THE MAG. WE PUT IN THE NEW PTS & A NEW BATTERY& COUPLE GALLONS OF GAS . IT TURNED OVEER ABOUT 7-8 TIMES & FIRED RIGHT UP. IT RAN AS SMOOTH AS CAN BE. HE WANTED TO SELL IT TO ME BUT NOT UNTIL IT RAN . WELL IT CAME HOME WITH ME. I WAS READY TO BUY IT BEFORE HE GOT IT RUNNING.

Makes me want to get the one I have apart for painting back together. I have another one mostly together and complete. That second one was give to me. It ran but had serious engine issues. Pulled the head and I think replacing #1 sleeve and piston with a decent used one will solve the problem. 2,3 and 4 look great. I have never seen a piston and sleeve more pitted than this one. It must have been running on 3 cyl for years. I would like to find a SFW assembly or a widefront for this second one.
