Good evening, I am having issues with my gear shift popping out of the gear slots on my 1953 WD-45. I ordered a new shiftier so the ball and the flat are not worn I used the 5/16 and measured the flat it fit, and the 1/2 inch would not fit over the ball but was very close. I ordered a new spring and collar set along with a the new pivot pin and installed them. I can shift into a gear and it runs but if I need to shift into reverse or another gear it seems to slip out of the shiftier rails and must be disassembled and the shiftier rails aligned to neutral again. Any ideas or information you have on this problem would be helpful.
Thanks for your time and help. Aaron
