Thanks, it just baffles me how Costco can sell fuel for the price that they do :-) . Sadly, I'm not a member. |

Jeff you could have someone if you know someone with a membership buy you some Costco Shop Cards and use them at the pumps.

Jeff, on the Costco Shop Card
Q: How does the pump know the customer is a member? https://www.costco.com/gasoline-q-and-a.html
A: When a customer inserts a membership card the system reads the membership number on the card and confirms the membership is active. Costco Shop Cards may only be purchased or recharged by members. Anyone can use a Costco Shop Card at the fuel station, as it also serves as membership authorization for the pump. Edited by chaskaduo - 06 Mar 2020 at 8:17am |

Got gas today for $2.16/gallon. A new station opened up, and there is a price war going on. American Natural opened on Monday, at 22 cents off a gallon, = $2.17. The Sunoco next door dropped to $2.16, and the 7-11 about a mile away did the same. But the Sunoco and 7-11 are owned by the same company here. Sheetz is in the $2.66 range
just up the road.

I was in Savanna, GA yesterday, cheapest I saw was $2.05, up to $2.59 on Tybee Island, here in Colorado it was $1.98 at one Murphy's station in Lafayette, CO last week, didn't notice what they were coming home last night. I keep thinking diesel should be dropping but wondering if the law making ships use diesel worldwide instead of the heavy oil they used to use is keeping the price up. Ray, I heard a refinery somewhere in California had to shut down because of a fire and that's keeping the price up as more gas has to be hauled into the state, and of course the oil companies figure it's a good way to jack up their prices a few more cents.

Every 6 months for the last 2 years the Fruits and Nuts in the capital add 6 to 12 cents a gallon more in tax. And Hollywerd keeps telling them it is good. No hope in this state.
I looked gas is 61.2 cents tax/g plus 2.25% sales tax on top of price and tax, get this diesel is 86.93 cents tax plus 9.25 % sales tax. YES THE DIRTY SKUNKS CHARGE SALES TAX ON THE TAX. And many counties and cities add .5% to 3% sales tax of there own on top of the rest. But I am so happy the voters just turned down a tax on SUPER TUESDAY. Would of allowed schools to increase bonded indebtedness. I figured the Bernies would all turnout and vote for such a thing. Cause they never work so never pay for anything. And gas prices are the same as last week. 3.20 on the low end up to 3.60 I did hear a argument that the higher priced gas will give you more MPG with less alcohol in it,but I have not experimented. |

I took the bucket truck over to Lafayette today for some cheap gas, was amazed it is now $1.75! As I drove by another station, saw a price of $1.62 if paid in cash. Diesel has gone up and is now $2.55. May get 50 gallons for some early tillage.

Russia needs oil at $40. to break even.... Saudi needs it at $65 to break even... They actually PRODUCE oil at $2. ...... but they have so much FREE CHEESE in the country that it adds $63. to their price.... Saudi pushed the price down to $35. to hurt Russia... They also can not hold $35. oil for an extended period of time.......... Time will tell..... Saudi wants Russia to cut production to keep prices up.

US has enough oil to supply itself plus others.. Problem is it is a world market and at $35. our guys out west are going to have a hard time producing at a profit ... Going to hurt sections of our economy as the gas prices drop and help other areas.

E85 was 1.69, 88 was 1.89, 87 was 1.93. Filled the Silverado with 25 gallons of fuel for $49. I'm glad this is happening this semester because I'm driving 400+ miles a week from home to work to school and back home.
