I just got back from Birmingham, Al. with G #2. The Allis Chalmers Museum is now the proud owner of G #2. I want to thank Jim Clayton Sr. for letting me purchase this G. It was a long trip as I went the long way around as I picked up several parts and delivered to Tracy Martin in Gallitan, Tn. on the way down. I have talked to Tracy several times on the phone but first time to meet him, you could not meet a nicer guy.

Dale, I felt the same meeting you. Glad your trip went well. I really appreciate the Orange you brought. Looking forward to pics of G #2. I hope your detour turns into fruition. Hannah says HI! Thanks Tracy Martin

Which way does the serial # read? In other words, does it read the same way, as the Tractor number embossing, on the tranny?

I looked at G#2 this morning. As you are standing looking to the back of the tractor my other 6 G's have the serial # on the bottom of the TRACTOR NO. on the trans. this one has the # on top or towards the front. And it is opposite of the TRACTOR NO.
