The fill tube on the valve cover on my 56 CA is loose. How are they held on? I have not removed the valve cover to see what the problem is yet.

I've recently had mine off and it appears to be pressed and/or welded. Mine is very solid.

I have had a couple loose. They are just stamped in. I pressed them in place square and spot brazed them in place in four places on the inside. If you can't get them tight I would brazed them all the way around to keep them from seeping oil.
