The old diesel powered extendaboom rig we have been using on the new shop has been occasionally sputering and finally died yesterday. Leave the retrofit electric fuel pump run for a while and the rig fires right up... for a couple seconds. No the tank is not empty. I'm leaning towards the fuel filter being plugged but am open to other suggestions...

Plugged primary filter or injecter pump. Some of the Rosa Masters injector pumps will do this if they are bad. Also old fuel will get alge in it and plug things up real quick. If you are tying to run a vegatable oil as diesal with out cleaning the tank. it will act as a solvent and plug up filters
