Is there a cheaper source for the foam cut off seed pads other than the $44 each at AGCO? Looks like $90 per row! Looking at a 333 air planter this weekend. Thanks. Lonn

No money exchange yet but going to look at it maybe Saturday if weather permits. Yes it's a 6 row 30 in. Never owned an Allis planter before. Have a Deere 7000 4RW right now and it has seen it's better days and since I picked up an M2 with 6x30 corn head I need to make a switch and with only 83 tillable acres I thought the high priced Deere and White planters were too much. Do you know much about 78 air planters Michael?

Thanks DrAllis, apparently no aftermarket?

Michael, I can't find many in upper midwest but there seem to be a lot more straight to the south. Quite a ways away though.

Michael, are you looking for a wide or narrow row planter?

I ran a 12 row 30 with 78 air units. It was a good planter but for no-till the coulter springs are rubber and had trouble with them braking. If you could find a Deutz Allis 385 you would have a much better planter for the same money. But you still have the same coulter springs but could easily replace them with a yetter or other coulter. But in your area the coulters would not take the abuse that they take here either, but this problem is with no-till only.

I'm not sure darrel, I will look in my manuel and see. I would think you could make a 10 row 36 out of a 12 row 30. I will get back with you.
