I'm looking to do a little research on my own. Would somebody like to share info on the key components?
Block Height
Rod journal dia
Rod length
Compression Height
Wrist Pin dia
I found a Wd with this engine in it. It's been sitting for 25yrs. I've built Oliver's, coops, and Massey engines. I would like to build a allis this year.

Wrist pin is .990
Rod journal 2.375
Rod length 7.5
Block deck height 12.625
Piston compression height varies a little depending on the engine, also the pistons are dished. A few times someone has posted some drawings of the pistons, a search should find them.

Typical take out head gaskets are a tad over .060. New Fel Pro are .062 and compressed about .055. The Victor gaskets are just a few tho more.
I just figure .055 to .060 when doing the math.
Of all the blocks I've measured 12.625 and occasional 12.63. I just use 12.61 for any of them getting decked to clean up after installing larger sleves.

i found these nice aluminum connecting rods on ebay might be something that could be used i see they have all different lengthseven 1 set with 7.5 length just info for you to ponder

according to the manual wrist piston pin is .9999-1.0002 =1.00 inch to most block is 12.656 height as well. not arguing just correcting

Wrist pins are .990". That's .010" less than an inch. Measure one. Block deck heights are 12.625" if you use the sharp points on your caliper to measure from the main bore to deck and add half of the main bore diameter. If you use the wide part of the caliper jaw for inaccurate measurments then you'd probably get something like .030" more or 12.655. Close enough if all you have are tape measures and angle finders to compare engine parts. Not argueing either, just validateing the facts.

And it is an absolute fact that mlpankey uses a tape measure to measure a bore. Therefore based on the bore premise and his deck height fallacy, he most be using said tape measure to measure deck as well. Not arguing, just validating more fact and logically using his illogical ways and means to reach the proper conclusion concerning his apparent dis-abilities In simple math.
