I love looking at the photos of other peoples tractors so I thought I would share a photo of a couple of ours. These are a couple of our allis that are in our collection.

Very nice !! I'm not a WC expert but shouldn't the 6 bolt hubs be on the unstyled tractor? |

Thanks. That is how we purchased them. When we restore them we plan on changing the hubs around.

Ihave owned three WC cast wide fronts including the one I have now and they all had, have the five bolt front wheels. When I restore the one that I have kept I want to put the F&H spokes on the front to match the rears. Right now I have it in my Dad and Mom's front yard because my Mom asked me if she could maybe have one in her yard with the steel wheels on it, so I stuck the steel rears on it and there it is. I just have to say my Mom can have anything that I own if she wants it. You have some nice ones there Adam not real easy to find.

Someone told me that the 37's had 6 bolt wheels and the rest had 5, both after and before, but way back there might have been 6 bolt wheels like in the very early models. IDK this for a fact, but I have two 37's with 6, a 35, 38, 39, 47, all with 5 holes. Then there is a possiblity that with wide fronts there is a difference too. Hope someone can clarify this for us!

Great pair of WCs. Thanks for sharing them. My oppinion is that the wheels on the 38 are all correct. Pressed Steel 24" rears and 5 bolt 16" wheels on the front is what either a styled or unstyled 1938 model should have. The 6 bolt hubs on the other tractor were not used after late 37-early 38. Kip

The WC wide front uses a 5 bolt front hub. This is the same front hub that was used on the later U's. This hub is different than all the other 5 bolt hubs Allis used. The main difference that you can see is that the hub cap threads on inside the hub and not on the outside like all the 5 bolt hubs used on the narrow front WC Matt

You can see what Matt said in the pics. The tractor with the 5 bolt wheels has the caps that screw inside the hub and the tractor with the six bolt wheels has the standard style where the cap screws over the hub. Perfect picture to show this difference.

The five bolt front hubs started in 1937 with serial #59328.

front wheels and hubs are integrated prior to serial #23529. serial # 23529-59627 have six lugs on separate wheels and hubs. the 1937 serial # 59628 and up have 5 lugs. Allis-chalmers farm tractors and crawlers data book by terry dean. pg 43
