I wonder how many people know that Allis-Chalmers tested Zetor tractors in the late 70's as a possible replacement for the 170/175 and 180/185 tractors.  A mucky-mucky vice president came up with the idea as they were cheap, cheap.  They were a disaster and the tractors were all crated up and sent back.

My heart goes out to you, Shameless.

Had a couple of neighbors who had POS Zetors. Don't mean to sound like a smart , but the best thing to do with a Zetor is set it on fire.
Just my opinion from seeing what these people went thru. They were junk and one man went and bought another one to replace the first POS.

I hate to admit it but I have two, a 7745 with a cab and a 6340 Mudder.  The 7745 was the first new tractor I ever bought and all things considered, it was/is a pretty good machine.  It  has baled a lot of hay and done a bit of plowing (3 bottom spinner plow) and rototilling. I disconnected the 1000 PTO on the front and added a hydraulic pump on the front engine pulley so it has live power.  They are a European designed and built machine from the late 1960's.  The newer models are much more advanced but my latest new tractor was a Kubota M110, which cost 2 1/2 times more but is at least twice as nice.  The Mudder is used to harvest pumpkins in the fall and mostly to pull a windrow compost turner at the breathtaking speed of 8 feet per minute.  The main problem with Zetor's is that the seals and other rubber parts just don't hold up.  I'm always having to fix the brakes and replace seals to keep the oil in the transmission.  On the other hand, the tires really do hold up and the rears have hardly worn at all in nearly 3000 hr.  I have had a lot of problems with the air conditioning on the 7745 but it was built in the US so I can't blame Zetor.  I believe Zetor still has a parts depot in Pa.  You might Google American Jawa to see if that gets you where you need to go.  Jawa is a motorcycle company ( I owned one of those also) which again was not cutting edge but pretty darn dependable.  I bought the tractors in the 1990's after AC went under but before AGCO came on the scene.  There wasn't nor is there now a good AC dealer within a couple hundred miles but there was a Zetor dealer.
