I have a D17 Series IV that needs a new rim. The tractor has 16.9x28 tires on it. It has power adjust rims, does anyone know what the original rim size for the 16.9x28 tires was when new? Not real sure on how to measure the width on the ones I have if anyone has any guidance on that.

Welcome aboard agman. My understanding is that you are supposed to measure from the rim from bead to bead or bead of tire. now that might be hard with a tire mounted on but you can measure the outside and then deduct for the rim thickness. As to the factory rim width I do not know for as discussed in previous threads, D17s came factory with three tire sizes. But what rims they used is still a question I would even like to know.
