Hi i have found a WC that i am interested in. I'm going to go see it on Fri. No picture, but i talked to the seller and he said its styled, has electric start, motor is loose, decent tin, no fenders, one rim shot, rear tires poor, front tires decent. Hes kinda a jockey.... he buys estates full of stuff and then turns it around for $$$. He sounds like a legit guy, and he wants $300. Is this pretty reasonable? I'm part near done restoring my B, and i bought it for $300 with decent tires non running, and will have about $1000 in it when done. What do ya'll think? should i jump on it? Thanks

I'd say that's alright, just check it out really well. It would suck to find a cracked head/block.

$300 sounds good but just like john said make sure that the head/block is not cracked. and maybe if you can take a look in the tranny to.

The heck of it is that you can usually buy a complete runner for under $1000. $700 won't buy much for tires and the missing pieces.

Is that the one in Wilton? If it was closer I would have called on it, I like having WC's around for parts and that guy could get $300 for scrap.

I just got $271 for a 91 Corolla, I guarantee the WC is worth more than $300 at my local scrap yard.

Heck, I paid 400 for a tight crappy one last fall but it had fair tires on it all the way around and I needed a set of tires for my other one to roll it around. I ended up taking all that I needed off of it, and scrapping the rest as the block was tight and cracked, and I think I got 250 for the rest of it at the boneyard. Check for cracked block, but for that price it would be on my trailer.
