Fuel economy is alot better on the 301 over the 426. As far as lugging the 426 is better but if they pull down it is time to shift gears.   MACK

The newer marron 426s don't lug much below 1500 RPM, depending on how you set the fuel, the cam and turbo just wont let it.  I can't say on the newer 301s, but the 190XT will outlug the 7060, rpm wise. (not talking hp) Not so with the older 426s, like in the D21, so the newer 301s might be in the same boat.

7010's and 20's are a newer style and much nicer; better built tractors.   fuel economy is tons better with a 301.    depending on trannies but both the 7010-20 should have a much more modern trans setup.

Unless they are power shifts I like the stick on the floor of a 7030 over the t handle shift on the 7010-20. Other than stadium lights and fuel usage I don't see much advantage of a 7010-20 vs 7030. I suppose there were little updates here and there like I think gears were changed for better ratios and better gear engagement. All real good tractors.
hhhmmm............now I'm typing in italics and don't know why?????????????

It's not that bad just be prepared to replace a cable or two. Setting for a while freezes them up.
