I recently purchased a late model 7060 in pretty good shape, but I see the inner part of the steel fuel tank neck has some loose rust on it. My opinion is the former owner had cheap fuel contaminated with water sitting in for a long period of time. Do you guys think if I use a wire brush to carefully remove the scale and a shop vac at the same time to keep the rust from falling into the tank I will be OK? I thought after I remove as much scale as I can I would coat the fill neck with oil to keep it from getting worse. Thanks.
