OK, it's been a rainy day, so I tore two G switches apart to make one good one and in the process figured out the wiring,so here goes.
Place the switch so the knob is at 3 o'clock, and the fuse/screws are facing you.
Once you clean up the switch , you should be able to see the 'S','H','B', and 'R' markings.
At 12 o'clock is the 'B' screw,'battery feed', goes to ammeter, then battery, LIVE
A 15 amp fuse goes between 'B' and the 9 and 3 screws...
At 9 and 3 o'clock are two 'fused' but live at all times power screws.
At 6 o'clock is the 'R' screw, live when switch is in middle and allout positions.
At 5 o'clock is another 'R' screw, same as above.
At 11 o'clock is the 'S' screw, live when switch is in middle position.
At 1 o'clock is the 'H' screw, live when switch is in allout position.
The generator charge rate fuse,on the back side is a 3 ohm 5 watt resistor.
ALLIN position, no power to anything, but low generator charging
MIDDLE position, power to 'S' and 'R' screws, hi generator charging.
ALLOUT position, power to 'H' and 'R' screws, hi generator charging.
![]() OK, I replaced the 8-32 x 3/8" slotted screws with Robertson headed ones. I'm Canadian, eh ! Also if you saw my left thumb, well, you'ld know why I hate slotted screws!!
Please email me if you need anymore info, always happy to help.
