You tried Sandy Lake? Places like Valu-Bilt may not be any cheaper than AGCO. There's a small AGCO dealer in Indianola Ia, (R&R Equipment) same town where Valu-Bilt is, that usually can beat V-B's prices, sometimes by quite a bit. When I replaced the outers on my CA I found that hammering on the tube rolling it around broke the rust grip and they came apart. It did take a little effort. A little time on a belt sander removed all of the hammer marks.

the last set I purchased would not clamp tight enough to hold so I tack welded it on top so I could grind off easily so length could be changed. I even put new bolts in(original were chinese, and wouldn't you know it, the new bolts were too)! When are Americans going to get enough of this stupidity and demand american made products with some quality. Their steel is in between aluminum and low grade steel; easy to drill and easy to cut threads and easy to strip!

To get them to extend, soak with good penerataion oil then lay on solid surface such as anvil and hit with adout 1 lb hammer. Keep hamering and it will cause outside to strech and loosen.

When you change them, save the original clamps from the stock tie rods, they hold a lot better that the ones that come with the new tie rods.
