7060 extremely slow and weak in raising equipment with hydraulic cylinders. Dealer rebuilt SCV valve bodies and replaced hydraulic filters. Actually have to activate remote I to get remote II to work. (I am calling remote I the lever farthest to the right.) We can get 1500 psi at the SCV. What should be my next step? Can the pump simply be weak? It seems to be more of a valve problem. Thanks! |

Did you try adjusting the flow rate, one handle under seat, the other adjusted behind cab.

Yes. Neither helped. Dealer told us to take "signal" line off and blow it out in case something was plugging it. Employee thought that briefly helped. We are going to try that again but expect results will be temporary if any.

Did you try a different hose, possible hose collapse inside.

Haven't checked that out on the tractor. Have tried the tractor on different implements with same results.

FIRST check the stand by pressure 350-450 - then set the high pressure. This is done via shims or allen screws on the compensator. Go to agcopartsbooks.com and 7060 (enter as guest) and find the compensator on the hyd pump. The small shims are the low pressure and the big ones are the hp. 70268495 would be the shim for th elow pressure. Only IF the pressures cannot be set would the pump be bad. Also you said something about pulling a lever other than the remote needed, if this is the case the pilot check is stuck 70265695 or spring broke or worn on the valve next to the one that will not work.

70268662 is the hose that has a t and cap where the stand by pressure is checked. It is on the RH side of the PTO about 18" to the right and up from the PTO. 3/8 jic cap needs to be removed and install guage

The only number I could find on the pump was -322C. It is a 1976 model 7060.
We removed the pilot checks for the two remotes and also the one in the 3 pt valve and all look fine. As I said before, my dealer rebuilt the remote valves which did not alleviate any of our symptoms. We can get 1500 psi at either remote. The dealer had added shims. 1500 seems low to me but I would think that would be enough for the loads I am lifting. We are not getting much flow either but I don't have a way to measure that.
We have another tractor that I am going to steal the compensator from and see what that does.
Thanks!

This might sound dumb, but I had a similar problem on a 7020. The problem was the pin on one of the levers that connect the lever to the linkage backed out and made it so neither lever worked right. Take a flashlight and shine it down in your console and take a look. Good luck.

Thanks for all your help guys. Changing the compensator on the pump fixed the problem. Now I need a new compensator. Best to order a new one from AGCO or is there a source for rebuilt or used?

If a different compensator fixed it, take the old one apart and I'll bet there's just a broken spring inside the large spool bore.

Employee took it apart and everything looked okay. I'll look at it a little closer tomorrow. Thanks. |

There is a plate(or washer) on the big spring that some times brakes. MACK
