   I have an HD4 crawler with the Dozer Attachment. Couple of issues.
1) Dozer Controls have a leak that appears to be coming from the control valve body right where the feed line comes in off the pump. Squirts out when a cylinder reaches end of travel, but is persistent at all times. Anyone else run into this? Trying to determine where the relief valve is as well although I am guessing it is at the bottom of the first control valve? Anybody?
2) One of the track clutches is weak. How hard are these to swap out?
And if I make it through those two successfully:
3) Does anyone have a backhoe attachment they are looking to re-home?

Dozer is located in Central NY, I am based in NNJ.

	Do you have a Service Manual for the machine? - recommend that you secure an OEM Service Manual and read the section on the valve body pressures. Regarding the change out of clutches and how hard it is - if the machine has set for a period of time in a condensing environment - you will likely encounter the need to dis assemble the clutch. Syracuse and Upstate NY is definitely a condensing environment with lots of snow and rain and differential temperatures that cause condensation to build. Before tackling the steering clutches, read the service manual and see the section on clutch adjustment. If adjusting the clutch does not improve operation then you likely will need to pull the clutch and at minimum replace the fiber clutch plates. Search on here for guidance on pulling the clutches there have been numerous posts on doing that task. Assuming you do pull the clutches your vocabulary will expand and some new words will likely slip out - make sure the kids aren't around! Regarding # 3 below, the AC 650 Series Backhoe will fit on the machine so long as the tool carrier is mounted on the rear of the crawler. While I don't want to thwart your efforts on a hoe, the backhoe mounted on HD4's was pretty heavy this tended to cause a lot of stress on the final drive bearings and related assembly. That said, I would check the final drives and sprockets for any grease stains that are exiting the final drive. This would be a tell tale clue that the finals are leaking and need new seals, possibly bearings and races too. As they say ~ pictures are worth a thousand words! Good Luck ~ Orangeman

	Yes on the backhoe - but long way from NY Have unit off my HD4 loader that fit on tool carrier for rear of machine . Just make sure the hyd pump on your machine has capacity for hoe Hint- I broke 3 rear axles on my HD4 with hoe on machine and also outboard sprocket bearing ate into cases where needed them machined out to accept new cups.
