What Model Implements Needed

   Hi,
I bought a B model Allis Chalmer tractor I think the year is in the 40's.  Mine has two draw bars underneath and I would like to know what type of plow and disc assemblies do I need to get in order to use the hydraulics.

	You have all the framework of a early cultivator on there, but it doesn't have any of the shovels or places where the shovels attach to. Yours is a hand lift, but there is a way to make the cultivators go up and down using the hydraulics. Do you have any lift bar mechanism on the back? Kind of looks like there is something peaking out on the one side. If you want to find out the exact year, right by the shifter there is a flat spot with the serial number stamped into it. It should start with a B??????. Might have to scrape a little bit to find the numbers.

	You'll need a different drawbar to use a pickup plow (one that lifts with the hydraulics). Look around on Google and you'll find pictures of them.

	Those L shaped bars underneath do go up and down with hydraulics as well with the hand mechanism. I checked the serial # and its a 1950 model. Heres another pic from the rear

	Ive posted a pic from the rear of tractor. Those L shaped bars I mentioned do go up and down with Hydraulics of with the mechanical lever.

	Ok...I'd love to help as you have the exact same tractor as me (1950 B, one of 3 we have here, plus I have a lot of implements) but I'm not exactly sure what your question is. Do you have the plows? Or are you wondering what all you need that goes with the plows to mount them? If you have a set of plows, are they hand lift now? If they are, then it will be easier to install the hand lift and forget about using them hydraulically. It will be hard to find the things you need for a hydraulic set up without buying a whole new set of plows. And what do you mean by "disk assemblies"? Looks like your pulling a disc in your pics.

	I'm sorry for not being clear. This is my first tractor so bare with me. What I am asking is yes what all do I need that goes with the plows to mount them. The disc thats in the photo is pretty much all I got with the tractor. Is there a disc assembly that will mount to this set up so that I can lift and lower it. I have a small garden area and dragging that disc at the end of the row is a little less productive. I guess what I'm saying is I didn't want to go out and buy a 3 point hitch mod. If this set up that I already have will compliment a disc and plow that would mount in someway so that I can lift and lower them. If you have any pictures of what I need to look for would really help. Like I said this is my first tractor.

	Alrighty. Lets see what I can do. There really never was a disc for the B that was one you could lift above the ground. Most discs of that era were pull behind for a tractor that small. I suppose you could attempt to jerry rig one if you really wanted to, but you wouldn't get very far with all that weight hanging off the back...your front wheels would be up pretty fast. As for the plows...You need to find a set of plows, I'm assuming. You can find just a right hand, or sometimes, if your lucky, find a 2 way, right and left handed set. You will need the plow draw bar, the plow draw bar brackets, the depth control lever, and the piece that goes between the depth control lever down to the plow draw bar. You will also need the mounting brackets to mount it on the rockshaft, which should already be permanently mounted on the plow. If you have a 2 way set, you will need the 2 way hydraulic splitter and another ram if you only have 1 right now. If you find a hand lift plow, forget about trying to convert it to hydraulic, by the time you find all the parts and everything, you will most likely have to strip them off a plow thats already usable. Any other questions just ask. I wish I could take pics, but I'm at college and the tractors arn't.
