The rock trip lever goes on the pin the snap coupler bell is on. Hit something hard, pin moves backwards on the big coil spring, trips lever foraward into hand clutch lever. Hand clutch disengages just before the rock breaks something expensive. Forgot to add, I have one looks just like it. Have seen a few others as well. What I haven't seen is info on how to set it up.

You need a few more parts to make it work.

I guess AC must have a pretty crappy design if anyone here can make one that looks like that. Interesting observation for not having a clue as to what it is. |

Have one on WD, the only thing you need is the long pin on the snap coupler bell were it attaches, they are pretty simple but a lot of bends, for that money may still be a good deal and they work very good if adjusted right.

I have one on my 45 diesel, the only other part you would need is the two pins that make it work. The pivot pin that the trip rides on has to be 4" longer, and the pin that hits the lever to trip it has to be 1 3/4" longer than the cotter key hole that holds it in the bell system.
I've had to pull the trip pin and reverse it because when doing tractor pulls sometimes a jerk or hitting a bump would trip it unexpectedly.

I wouldn't say it's a crappy design. Guess when I said I had one that looked just like it I was trying to say that I have a stock AC one. Wasn't trying to say that I made on just like it. Anyone have a picture of the entire setup on the tractor? Dad has the longer SC bell pin that I'd need. Didn't know there was a second pin. Where it goes would be nice to know.

Never had a nose problem, started plowing with one at about 10 years old, now older, usually trips about the same time the plow jumps over the rock so not an abrupt stop, kind of coasts, at least from my experience, 50 so years.

I am the one who has this lever for sale. I took a picture of the two pins and the rubber stopper and included that in the auction. I don't know if I called the part correctly. It's not listed in my WD45 parts manual that I have.
