Missed out on a low hour cherry 6060 and attachments locally. Advertised on Facebook which I don’t subscribe to. Came with 6’ Bush hog, 471 NH sickle mower, York HD blade. $8,500. Kept in an in closed barn it’s entire life.

With what has happened when friends have told me about a "deal" on flakebook, it may just be a blessing in disguise.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.

Yeah- on there -if it sounds to good to be true - its fake,, there are people out there preying on everyones interests, even with rear garden tractor tires, got the run around - finally realized it was fake - all for 100 bucks - but they are good at it

It was one of those tractors that would be sought after because I knew it’s background. Cherry tractors of any type don’t come around often. This one only saw sunshine when it was being used, otherwise it was inside. Heck of a buy and a really good 6060 that was taken care of. Glad it stayed local at least.

Understand your feelings, had something similar happen this spring, but was with grandpa's Gleaner L3. Good looking machine, never been wet, still had chalk delivery numbers on the header.
I would also suggest try and find who bought it. Tell them your story and at least keep track of where it's at. I lost the combine, auction house wouldn't tell me where it went, so I'm in the dark.

Was it "ALL" 60 series that suffered "engine bearing/seal issues" due to the PTO engagement set-up  or just the 6070 model ??

All are prone but it’s not nearly the issue folks make it out to be.  Got 2 6080’s with over 10,000 hours only issues are from electrolysis.  3rd one only reads 6500 but was sold to me with broken hour meter (not disclosed).

No it didn’t go to Hartman, a fella less than 7 miles away bought it. They do seam to buy some good stuff though, and want an astronomical price for it. Never dealt with someone that won’t budge on their list price. It’s the price listed or walk away.

That issue was caused by the operator that didn’t know how to run the pto correctly.

Maybe 25 years ago Hartman got a 180 gas with factory cab and 793 hrs. sat in a barn here and after owner got his hand in his Gleaner he quit farming and only used it to mow his meadow every year, said he would sell it to me when he quit using it. Same old story, son sold it soon as Dad died to a dealer and it wound up at Hartman's. Visiting the in-laws I saw it in Hartman's ad in the Harrisonburg paper and said gee another 180 gas with low hrs. Found out later it was the same one! I asked the old guy why he bought a gas tractor that size and not a diesel? He looked at me kinda funny and said "because all my older tractors were gas and I didn't want to put in another tank" Wonder where it ended up? Sorry for rambling on...Harvey
P.S. Steve, she was driving and Nobody listens to me!

They buy quite a bit of estate sale equipment. My brothers XT came from Hartmon. Wanting to get rid of it as it was a none runner, he had to buy it as it went across the auction block in Marion PA. Lucky for him, it was a blown head gasket. Good tractor and it runs very well. Only 4 serial numbers off mine. Found out, they came from the same area near Stuart’s Draft Va. probably purchased at the same dealer in Raphine Va.

Brother, I got lucky on that one! Buying a non-runner is a crap shoot but I have been lucky several times so far. Hope my luck holds.
