How can one identify which gleanor motor is on my d 17 bought used to pull. has place for mechanical fuel pump and a number 2 on the right side of the block any info would help thanks

Look at the engine serial number on the block behind the carburetor, and post back with the letter at the end of the number. Should be D17-XXXXX-?. Someone will tell you the compression ratio based on the letter.
