Well, you at first said you don't have "any special tools". Guess that requires some parameters! Torch? Slide hammer??
Anyway, I don't have a great visualization of what/ where you're working, but not very often can you get at things like that to "attach" a slide hammer. Good luck, you might be able to. I don't know.

It still uses oxygen.. thats what gets it HOT and can turn metal red..
Prop/ Oxy will work fine..... just concentrate the flame on the race.

If you heat one side of the bearing cup RED hot and then go directly opposite and do the same thing, when it cools off it almost will fall out by itself. WITH A REAL TORCH !!!

No I mean an oxy-acetylene torch. Guessing you don’t have one…..Well, you’re pretty much left with hours of fun picking, chiseling, prying, beating and swearing. Unless you are very lucky.

Torch. And yes, it's quite easy to burn out a race without a trace of damage to anything else.

If that's current ^, that's a good price. 71119313 crosses to a Timken 355A Summit Racing has it at $49.99 Here is a a very helpful chart showing AC bearings and the cross references to bearing manufactures' numbers; On page 22, 71119313 shows the cross reference to Timken 335A also on that page the corresponding cup #70211608 is Timken 354A Note that all cones/cups are not always a matched set; for instance, a cone may have more than one cup; depending on the use. |

hunter, the CONE is the piece with the ID and the rollers... Just give the dealer the PART NUMBER and they will know..(lower pedestal bearing)....... the CUP is the OUTER race that the rollers run on.
This is the CONE.... Edited by steve(ill) - 30 Aug 2022 at 8:17am |

Should be a (Timken) number on the larger side
Check with your local bearing house or take it there. They should be able to match it or cross-reference it

It could be repaired, but it be much better if you could find a replacement; shouldn't be that hard to locate one. (Kinda curious as to how it got that way....looks like a part of a gear got lodged in there) Edited by Gatz in NE - 06 Aug 2022 at 10:53am |

I don't know if I have the lights wired right the ammeter seems to move when the lights are on and not any other time. Or I am mistaken and nothing is wrong

Thanks for the diagrams, it's much easier to work with switches. I liked much less what I found on the Internet before. I already have double filament bulbs, so I can achieve the level of brightness that I need. Thank you, guys. I was one step away from calling service https://www.propointelectrical.com.au/serviced-areas/cheltenham/. They would laugh at me for half an hour before giving me sound advice, lol. But I really felt confused in this matter. Now everything is clear to me.

Common marking on a 3 terminal signal flasher (like #180, #550
X = Power supply (from switch, battery ammeter or other power source of choice) L = Load (lights) P = Pilot light (commonly used with column mounted heavy truck signal switches for the switch indicator light) No Terminal of these 3 gets a ground wire.

yes... the light cases should be grounded and the bulb holder will be grounded to the case... If you have 3 terminals on your flasher, then ONE should be grounded... I hope they are marked somehow. ... Head light switch is also grounded... The Double throw switch does not need a ground.
