Old gal clarified a couple of things today. I thought I bought these bolt/parts bins a few years ago. She let me know her aunts sale was close to 15 Years ago. Aunt and her husband put up a new building back in the 1960's and leased it to some fellows who made pickup toppers, pickup campers, and pull type campers. The guys aged and the pickup camper craze of the 1960's had kinda gone by the wayside. They sold the last of the units and equipment then turned the building back to the aunt and uncle. This bolt bin was in the building. It had stuff left in it. In this bin were a bunch of rubber washers. They are about 1/4" thick with a 5/16th center hole. They are not grommets and they are not neoprene like grain bin washers. Would anyone have an idea how they would have been used making toppers/campers? These guys made a topper for my new 1977 pickup and there were nothing like this on or in it.

toppers use to mount to the bed with 3 bolts on each side... if they were 5/16 bolts, you might have used a rubber washer on the top / bottom as a cushion.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest.
