I am new, so I will apologize upfront for my close to stupid questions.
I have started working on my Dad’s C and will eventually graduate to his WD,(of which he purchased on the day I was born in 1951).
Is there a place I can get owners manuals for either of these?
Then of course a good place to get parts?
I have looked around and comments on the sites I have found are mostly negative.
Thank you in advance for any advice and your help

Welcome You can get the official manuals for both tractors direct from AGCO at the AGCOpubs site. Here is a link: AGCOpubseBay is a place for finding used OEM manuals, Many used originals are better than even the new manuals from AGCO, as the manuals are reprints not the original publications. Search some of the posts about G, B, C, CA tractors will net you the link Gerald J. has posted for folks of his on line manual (those are all in the same manual). I&T manuals have their place but I recommend getting the AC manuals first. As for parts you can access the on line AGCO parts books for free to look up your part numbers, this aids in searching for parts and can help with nomenclature if you are describing a part or problem. The parts book for your C is 79001543. Enter that number on the search page and it will bring up the parts catalog you need for your C. Here is a link to the parts book site: AGCO Parts Books There are a number of vendors that advertise on this site that can help you with parts. On the home page click on the "Parts and Services" tab for the directory.

I will add to Jim's post. If you are using the AGCO parts book, it will ask you to log in. If you scroll down, you can enter as a guest. On a different note, has anyone noticed that the parts book for the WD/WD45 is missing from the AGCO site?

Its not missing it just depends on how you are looking for it. If you put WD in the search box when the search page opens in the Model search mode, and check "Exact Match", it comes right up.
If you use the Browse mode you need to look under Miscellaneous / power units. It ended up under that heading not tractors for some reason. HTH

If you're in need of parts, we touch on every part of the Tractor. Our specialty is electrical such as wiring systems switches, etc. I also do a lot of rebuilding. Carb, Mag, Distributor, Generators, Alternators, Starter motors. Been around for 50 years. Visit our website. A lot of information on wiring systems, and electrical components. There are other vendors on here also that support the site. Plenty of great folks here to purchase parts from new and used. Good Luck with your projects.

Original owner's manuals can be found on e-bay pretty cheap. There are many good vendors here that supply parts as well.

Fritz, Welcome to the forum! We need some tractor pictures when you gat a chance too! Both sound like great family tractor projects. We are pretty close to the same age. FritzAllis, First let me welcome you to the Allis Chalmers Forum. You will find all the assistance you will need. Also, do not concern yourself about "stupid questions" Here there are none. Second, How fortunate you are to have TWO TRACTORS of your father's. One purchased the day you were born - how priceless! Listen closely to what is said above. I find a lot of what you may want - even used parts and assemblies - on e-bay. For your search put in Allis Chalmers C and you may be surprised the the results. Sometimes the prices are very reasonable and the parts or assemblies are just what you need. Remember a lot of the parts are interchangeable with the B. Check the serial numbers of the tractors you have. The C will be by the gearshift and the WD will be on the rear differential housing above the drawbar platform. It will confirm the years and be most helpful in obtaining the proper parts. Check with the sponsors on the site. Sandy Lake, OK Tractor, Tony Carbaugh, Custom Circuits, etc. they are the Allis Chalmers specialists. Let me wish you the best. We would LOVE to see pictures of your equipment. Good Luck! Bill Long
