was at my daughters work today, caught a pass of the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds together as they flew over several hospitals in Atlanta today to pay tribute to all the health workers, they covered a lot of ground today, they were in Washington DC and Baltimore before hitting Atlanta [TUBE]g7wSObZGTAQ[/TUBE]

Those guys are amazing! How they fly that fast and that close without having a midair I don't know. Back in the mid 70's when the Thunderbirds were flying F-4's I was leaving Charleston AFB on the road that went by the end of the runway when one of them took off and then did a barrel roll as soon as the gear retracted. My thought was you crazy ....... you've got a death wish. They are the best of the best.

JoeM(GA), that is an awesome view. They are a special US tribute. Thanks for sharing your video.
Hubert(GA), thank goodness the F4 pilots do fly like you explained. I could only imagine trying to land a 17,000(empty wt) F4 on a moving aircraft carrier on a calm ocean, not to mention a rough sea day?? |
