I guess what I'm asking is any information regarding this model. I don't know anything about it. engine size? gas or diesel? how old? where to find the serial number? etc. etc.
Batteries are missing so I don't even know what to replace them with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry to be so vague with my first question.

I'll wager 12v 2200 diesel
Just a regular battery as they are not a large engine

Not asking to be mean, but your asking us if gas or diesel how much mechanical experience do you have.Typing out answers is not what I am good at,so don't want to get to basic,if you have a background.

But with question you asked,is it gas or diesel. Do you know the difference in a diesel injection pump and carburetor? This could be the first 655 AC I have ever seen. But parts of it looks very much like 20 a years older model I do have. Generally people here our willing to help, and even if your first project. But want to give information in a manor that does not get you hurt if I leave parts out, that we assumed you knew.

Enough knowledge to be dangerous I guess. I didn't lift the blue tarp to take a look. My guess is it's a diesel or maybe just wishful thinking.

I just googled AC 653. It looks like a 4 cylinder diesel motor rated at 59 horse power. Looks like it weighs about 11250 lbs. Jensalas shows operators manual for sale. I have bought operators Manuel's from them and I don't like them. Pictures are usually too dark to make out any details. The information I found said the final drives on them are not the strongest around. Hopefully the previous owner was using premium #2 diesel fuel in it, not truck stop fuel. I would pull the engine dip stick and see if it is over full on oil. If it is, it may have water In The oil pan. The injector pump can be stuck, if it is, and you crank it over, you could twist off the shaft in the injector pump. An expensive fix. Can you post pictures of both sides of the engine?

AC 2200 enginecan be gas or diesel , same block used for both fuels . It has a torque converter and a 3 speed transmission behind it . Also a fwd- rev clutch pack that operates from lever on left fuel tank side . 653/655 were pedal steer units - H4 were lever steer but same machine in most parts ond operations . shares parts with H3, H4 machines . Made in the 70's so many things like track and such if needed are hard to find .
Dipstick for clutch pack is under floor board on rt side of operators compartment uses ATF fluid and if low machine will not move . Rest of hydraulics run from right side tank and 10/30 or a good medium hydraulic oil is used there .

Finally! I have been waiting to get the key to this so I could see if I could get this thing started. It is a diesel and it won't turn over. Tried to get on the front of the crankshaft with a socket....wouldn't budge. Started removing the injectors to get some oil into the cylinders.....2 came out hard, no go on the other 2. One actually had a broken tip on it so I have to get that out somehow. Any thoughts on getting this thing freed up? Where is the best place to get parts for these tractors? Is it possible to fine a used injector somewhere?

I put Automatic trans. fluid in the Injector ports and allow it to sit for at least a week , then try to turn engine with power handle and socket at the crank nut. the other two injectors need to come out also.  Welcome to the forumn.
