Pretty much the same machine 912 is newer and has round headlights, 712 has rectangle headlights. Look at pictures on google and you'll see. Some early 712s might have 4 little headlights

Can someone tell me the difference between a 712 and a 912? Goin to look at one tomorrow. Not sure which model it is other than 12 horse Koehler and hydro. Dad has a couple 416s so Im familiar with those. This looks pretty similar with newer sheet metal. I'm hoping it has the lift on the back, as I'd like to use it with Dads tiller. Any input is appreciated.
