I would love to have a forklift but like you've found, I'd need a rough terrain one in order to get anywhere. Figured I'm better off putting the money towards a skid steer and a set of pallet forks. Can't buy an AC skid steers though!

Definitely good that you did not start that engine. The truck was parked many years ago for some reason, right? Now you know!

Guys,
Thanks! The shop is a good project to step away from the tractors for a little while. The truck is a diversion also. But I would like to get the WD45 out to another pull soon too! Warren County fair possibly?
Yes that 32 was tired when he turned the key off for the last time! Hope to bring it back to life this fall!
Regards,
 Chris

Wjohn, you should look for an AC rough terrain forklift, much better then a skid steel if you need a forklift more then a loader.

Folks,
Couple pictures of the ash trim around the first window.

With 2 + coats of the Varathane water-based poly applied. The shelf is for some of my tractors or various display items. And dust!:) 10 inch sill will be a great place for other things to collect too.

Nice to be using some wood from a tree that came out of the yard for the shop to be built.
Regards,
 Chris

John,
Thanks! Looking forward to your next visit too! Still amazing folks with Jim showing us how the Ford Jubilee series tractors shift lever can be relocated for ease of entry. Other Ford owners love it too!

T, Folks
Thanks for checking in on me. Small moves on the shop. Working the wood on the interior walls above the steel wainscoting.

The high bay area will be a challenge, for the walls, as some pieces are 12 footers! Yikes.

Should be able to get Nic over here to work on electrical and lights in a few weeks too. Start to wrap this up and maybe then consider work surfaces and storage and moving in!
Ok I am in, but never very organized!
(Did you notice every picture here has Allis something in it? Lets see who gets the prize?)
Regards,
Chris

Be careful! I don't want to see pictures of you standing way up on the forklift forks holding a 12 footer with your wife at the controls running you up and down ;)

John,
Your right I dont want to see Cheryl at the controls either. But she would do a fine job with some training. I had not thought about the forklift. Humm?:)
Tractor pull tonight with the WD45 if the weather is good.

Use fork lift with pallet would make a good work platform, even if you use ladder to get up on it.

Folks,
Slow process on the hemlock interior wall coverings.
You've seen one board, you've seen them all!:)

Did move the 32 around to the north bay to get some work area in the high bay.
Jim, from Bugs & Tugs was kind enough to do the towing honors and help with some hemlock install on a very hot summer day!

Hey isn't that where my F250 is supposed to be? Humm! The old 32 thinks it owns the place! Cant trust a 90 year old!

Hope things are good in Orange land!
Regards,
 Chris

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm going to be sad when this project is completed, as I really have enjoyed watching the construction and everything that has gone along with it.

Thanks Guys for the comments! Yea I am even happy with it. One more interior wall and then some of the stairway. Don't have enough material to do the upstairs.
The place is a disaster! Too many things happening this time of year!
Yes I try to do some of those dirty tasks outside. Or I use a lot of big cardboard. Working out ok so far. But I have a lot of spots on the floor!

Hate to say it Chris, but I don't see anything Allis in the first pic of: Posted: 04 Aug 2021 at 8:43pm.  The second pic COULD have one in it.  Can't be sure.....

It sure is looking GREAT!!  And like Tom Adams said, when do I move in?

Ted,
Yes not every picture has Allis Items in it.
Here is a shot of the south wall at midnight after a bunch of that Colorado sparkling blue mountain water was consumed. Cheryl thinks it could be a church!:)

Have enough scraps to do the stair way if I put a seam in the boards somewhere. Have an idea.

Yes this little Jib /hoist is handier than a pocket in a shirt!

Why in the heck did I make the large interior door so tall? I guess for the F40 to pass through??

Have to complete the window trim and above the east overhead door. Then 2 coats oly the Varathane poly.

Hope things are good!
Regards,
 Chris
