Lowest around Des Moines I've seen is $1.22 in Ankeny. Last time I saw gas this low I was just out of high school.

Not really. Reformulated gas starts breaking down day of delivery, is not a stable compound and in essence tries to reestablish equilibrium. Around 6-9 weeks dependent of the formula and looses octane at a drastic rate, becomes "sour" as my grandfather called it in Under two months. Used to be on pleasure boats we would fill up prior to winter so less chance of moisture, now they will even pump the tanks extremely low prior to storage months and treat Just that little bit of gas, they then haul five to ten gallons on dewinterize here to get boats started again.

Does the new non ethanol still break down, or phase out as they call it? Does it store good like the old gas did? If it stores good like the old gas, maybe I'll buy a couple thousand gallons for future use. But then again with this (CHINESE FLU!) maybe I won't be around long enough to use much of it.

Paid 157.9 for non ethanol unleaded at my local station Saturday. That was the lowest I have ever seen it since I've lived here. It was even 10 to 20 cents less than ethanol in other local stations.

In Taylor TX, prices range from $1.589 to $1.859 for 87 octane E10. At the Murphy (Walmart), they also have 87 octane E0 (100% gasoline) for $2.069. I will need to bring out the calculator to figure if the pure gasoline is worth it.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

Here in the tourist trap gas is usually higher but a local station dropped to $1.39 everyone else followed so they dropped to $1.29. My gas light came on yesterday. I try to never let it get that low. I filled up for $25.00. That’s about half of a normal fill up and much closer to empty than I normally let it get.

Steady $1.49 Costco and $1.99 Others. No place to go during "Stay at home" lockdown. Soon as this is lifted and people start going places again, then it's Ray54 and jaybmiller prices for all.

Good to hear your gas might be coming down finally for you. I envy you having all your space around you to grow veggies ect. You probably won't like going to the grocery store.
Hang in there Ray.

Gee Tom you as good at kicking when I am down as O'l Chas. Beside the cheaper price I been told Az gas is MUCH BETTER than Caly gas. But it's reported you can find gas for less than $3 here. But I have not run out of groceries so I have not been to check it out.
