...... Maybe 6...there was a real pretty G with 301 gas engine that sold for something like $700 here in MN. Wouldn't have been much restoring to do to it either. Some local guy bought it and I'm sure it's still parked in whatever spot he drove it to from the sale.

I see you're located in Martinsville, I - is this Indiana or Illinois? Bryant Combine Salvage in Bryant In. would be a good place to contact, they have several older Gleaners on their lot.

If I remember correctly there is a serial number break on G’s. A lot of parts were changed.

Have 2 parts machines and 1 runner. 1 parts G has the diesel and 1 has no motor. I'm likely too far for parts shipping for most . Taking parts off these old G's is not a winter time thing either (both are outside).

Allis engineers made some changes (actually more than I thought) over their model life so some of the parts are different depending on year.

My G runner is a late model diesel, hydro tranny which I think is quite rare, factory air with tilt cab. I've always shedded it. Likely should find it a new home.

Steve !
I am in the midst of doing the same thing. My G is a 1972 with chev 350 and standard drive.
I also have a 69 with the 301 gas passer that I had to turn into a part machine.Lots of the parts are different for sure.
Agco has a few parts left for these machines but check prices carefully. An example is the feeder beater guides(plastic) 2 years ago were around 100(canadian) bucks for 25 and now they were asking 340 for the same package !!!The feeder beater shafts were only 90 bucks for both of them which was cheaper than getting new shafts cut at the local machine shop.
