I bought an old TDH 7 foot disc at an auction in May 2017. It must have been sitting for many years because it had a 3 inch tree growing through it which was cut off, but I left in for a conversation piece. In the 1935 AC Catalog it was then called the No. 8 Series Disc. I replaced one 16 inch disc 2 years ago and finally put the 32 new wood bearings into the 8 bearing boxes just in time for the Orange Spectacular. I used it out in the field on Friday and I was pleased with how it worked. Thought I would post some pictures of the old rotted bearings, the spools, new bearings and the WC pulling it out in the field.

Looks good. Out of curiosity, did you make the bearings yourself? And if so, what wood did you use?
Looking at the past to see the future.

Duct tape.... Can't fix stupidity. But will muffle the sound of it!

I ordered the bearings from a couple different Agco's to get get the 32 total. They were part no. TDH-35/ 70342152. It looks to me that the bearings are birch or maple, which are hardwoods.
