Old female great pyrenees died last Saturday. She was 12+ years old. Yesterday outta the blue the pound called and told the old gal they had a 6 month old female pyr got brought in by the PD. Of course we had to run right up and bring Sophie home. She now thinks me new recliner belongs to her. 62 lbs of lap dog. She's gonna get put outside tomorrow AM. Will put her on a chain till next Monday then turn her loose with the Male pyr and the ornery little jack Russell alias [the pig]. Shes quick enough to steal food right out from the males mouth. Darn little gal goes out in the timber and drags big old chunks of deer back. I'm always tossing deer her leg bones in the burning barrel. She gives me dirty looks when I do. Snow is almost gone. Rivers are running way outta their banks. Gravel roads are almost impassable. Gotta get out by noon tomorrow. Gotta set up a booth in Council Bluffs tomorrow and work Sat and Sunday. Was gonna stay 2 nights but with new Sophie, we'll drive home at night. Darn early spring flowers are coming up. Guess that I better sharpen lawn mower blades again.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your older companion but the Lord provided you with another in short order. Sounds like Sophie will be a loving dog. Better be careful, the loving wife will take Sophie to the shows and leave you at home on the chain. Say the PD brought her in? What did she get arrested for?LOL
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.

also sorry to hear about your older puppy! and glad another one found you two! sounds like she's getting you trained right away! usually people buy a cute little puppy at Holiday times, then as it grows, they (the people) figger that that new puppy is gonna be to big for them, or have to much energy, or inconvieniences them by having to go outside to potty, or maybe has an accident nside the home, or sheds to much hair! then they take them to the shelters. (idiots). take care of Sophie and she'll takes care of you! she might even like them cute goats of yers!

Shameless, there are a LOT of people out there who should NOT HAVE children OR pets.. and you KNOW it.  Those people are the ones I always wanted to smack along side the head with a piece of our wore out FF hose...  about 50 whacks.
