I'm looking to clean up a really nice A-C 4 sided umbrella I bought from Larry Karg a couple years ago. I tried a bit of "gentle" fabric cleaner that I've used before, but on a test area it seemed to wash out a bit of the orange color, so I'm looking for opinions on what I should try next. It's mainly just dirty from storage I think, with a few light stains here and there.
I was thinking maybe just plain ol' water and blue dawn, but I don't know what that would do to 60-year-old fabric. Any advice? Thanks!

Sixty year old fabric will be very fragile even if it has been properly stored. Blue Dawn or WoolLite is probably your best bet but test an area first and don't scrub it hard. Is it nylon, cotton, canvas? On second thought maybe you better ask Rachel.
