Snow Blade on 1942 "C" Allis

   I'm looking for ways to mount a snow blade and utilize the PTO to run hydraulics. Has anyone seen this done? If so, can you send a picture so I can figure out how to mount the blade?

	When we sold them I liked the Myers hook up. It consisted of a mounting bracket in the front backed up by two long angle irons that attached to the drawbar. The lift was accomplished by the C's hydraulics. A cable and pulleys that went to the rear lift bar. The angling of the blade was manual. The blade itself was very good and spring loaded in case a of a heavy obstacle. You may check the Myer web site. They may still have some literature for the Allis C. That would give you a start. Quite frankly the hook up worked well for us. We used it for many farms and estates in our area. Good Luck! Bill Long

	I have no pictures and gave the C away last fall. But I built my own snow plow. I pinned the push arms to the plow brackets, ran them foward to get the blade just in front of the tires.Ran a cable from the rock shaft down to a pulley on the drawbar foward to a split under the engine on cable to a pulley on the ends of the cultivator cross bar and down to the push arms. I welded the blade directly to the push arms. I used it for 20 years without any problems. I used it to push 400 yards of gravel into my lean too. We had put an angle blade on a WD why I was a kid and it wasn't very useful. It needed to be way out in front to have enough room to angle so when you lifted it it unweighted the back tires and when it was angled if it was more than a little snow the tri rib front tires couldn't keep the front from sliding.
