i just bought a allis chalmers for restoration. i found numbers all over but none match up to serial number. help finding the serial number would be great. because i dont know what year or model it is. i believe its a model C but im not exactly sure. any help would be highly appreciated.. it looks almost identical  to this.  http://kansas.mccsale.org/old2009/1941AllisC.jpg

B,C, and CA all look very similiar and share lots of parts. All three of these models have the tractor serial number stamped right above the gearshift lever when viewed from the driver seat. The B begins with a B then the number, C with a C then the number and CA with CA then the number. Keep in mind that over the years the motors,front ends, transmission cases and any other distinguishing parts could have been swapped between models and years.  Hope that helps, Billy

Welcome to the Forum! You'll find lots of help on here - just ask. If your tractor looks like the one at that link, it's indeed a C - subject, of course, to someone doing some major mixing and matching of tractor parts over the years!
