I would like opinions on whether this brake band is worth salvaging and putting a new liner on it? Was rusted pretty bad. The other side is broke where the bolt goes thru the "eye", so I know I will have to replace it. My question is whether most all brake bands I find in a boneyard will look like this or if this one is worse than average. Was hoping I could find a couple decent ones in a boneyard to possibly put new liners on. A new brake assembly with band and liner is $250 from Agco-so not looking that direction. |

Can't tell, but it doesn't look like it got into the metal band so I would put a new band on it. I had to repair mine where the bolt goes through, put a new band on and is working fine. just took some time with a welder, file and dremel. Wouldn't want to do it every day.

If you have any oil leaks, you need to get the pads that don't care or fix your leaks
