We improved our hay operation with the purchase of a new CCM T-190 75" drum mower and a 3 year old 5 wheel 3 point rake.
Used the mower first time tonight and all I can say is "Wow " this thing cuts great. Now I know most of you cut with 8 to 14' mowers and run 75 to 125 HP tractors how ever I'm a small operation. We cut 25 acres to feed our small 7 cow calf herd , 10 bottle calves a year and our 5 head of pleasure horses. I have 2 tractors, a WD-45 and a 400 Farmall both gassers and this mower matches our operation perfectly. The folks at CCM are great to work with. I recommend them highley Tim from the Rocking TJC |

Tim, how about some pictures? Isn't it nice when a new machine works out so well? I remember when my buddy first used his Kuhn mower - 5 rotary cutting heads - he was smiling for days!

Saw a drum mower for sale once - had never seen one - wondered how well they worked. Glad to hear that you are happy with it's performance.

Around here used hay mowers are expensive and usually got the gutts rung out of them.Which adds up to expensive repairs.. To see a short vidieo of a drum mower working go to CCM's web site and click on drum mower Tim

Tim, I haven't paid attention. You're not that far from me unless there's another Dickson, OK besides the one near Ardmore. I'm in OK on my weekends with the family, rest of the time I work/stay in Dallas. Land is leased to a neighbor for hay and cattle. Congrats on your new toy.

This mower is cool . Run it up to 540 rpm, it starts making a whizzing sound , ease it to the ground till the spring pin is in middle of slot and run as fast as you can stay on the seat and maintain 540 rpm. On my place second gear on the 400 is about all I can handle. The nice part is it doesn't scatter sickle parts all over like the # 5 did. In the # 5's defense , it did us good for 6 years Tim
