I have figured out a way to change low gear into a ratio that is 15% slower than second gear instead of 35% slower than second. With this change, it would make low gear the same speed as second gear would be with the WD45 diesel ring & pinion. Either way would require a teardown of the transmission and differential, but this way, you'll have 2 speed selections 15% apart. Anyone interested ?? Personally, I have no need for this feature on either of my tractors, but many pullers could use something faster than low gear. This doesn't fit an old WD. Only the late WD and WD45 with the constant mesh helical gear transmission.
