I think the coil is getting hot. It stops dead in its tracks without any warning. Let it cool down and it starts. Also the distributor cap is burning the center contact point (coil wire)off . Any ideas? Thanks, Jeff |

does sound like coil is getting hot, also are you running a 12 or 6 volt bat.? Should be 6 with positive ground. I would replace the coil and check your points for burning and make sure they are set to the correct gap, cant remeber what it is though. Good luck and let us know if you need more info.
