Why would a previous owner of my D-12 III shorten the steering arms of this tractor? Does it allow it to turn shorter(tigher turning radias)? Would this not make it turn harder? It does not have power steering. Marlyn

I think it would make it turn harder but faster-i.e.maybe two turns lock to lock instead of threeturns .
