I've never seen one before. But I can't understand why you'd want a loader on a grader. It would make it awkward to handle and take forever to load anything. Does look cool though and defintely one of a kind.

'Every option, except cab'. I wonder how he likes the power steering and the dropdown auxiliary transmission (66% less ground speed in all gears). Ross.

I think the idea was a township couldn't afford a grader and loader,so this way grade roads sping, summer, fall and load sand/salt in winter

Yep old township type machine - you could dig into pile - back away and have truck drive under loader bucket . . some of machines also had shouldering blades in back to recover material and bring up to road grade .
Way back towns were careful how they spent - now they hire 5 guys and buy 4 pieces of equipment to do same work - expense is no object

The rear mounted loader was available from Tractomotive for the D grader. Gilbert Vust has one in the museum in Manitoba. I can understand why you don't see many. |

Hi. Here is a D Grader that is currently used around the Muskoka Cottage Country ( Central Ontario ). I assume that it once had the loader on it. This unit was at the Bracebridge,ON,antigue show this July. Sorry for the sizing problem. Ross.
